Today there is so much new technology. There are computers with the Internet, TV's with channels galore, iPods and MP3 players, digital cameras, DVDs, video games like Xbox 360 and play stations. With all this newfound technology most people would rather stay inside and play around with all of the technology stuff then go outside and play a game of kickball or baseball.
Computers along with the Internet have changed how everything is done now days. With the Internet there are website to go to and play games or even websites to chat with friends like Myspace and Facebook. The Internet has also changed how people connect with each other. Now, instead of sending cards in the mail people send e-cards over email. They also send emails to stay in touch with each other and to do business because it is a faster way to get connected with someone.
TV's are another technology that has changed what people do, especially kids. There are so many different channels and shows that anyone can get hooked to. It keeps kids inside watching TV all day instead of going out and being active. Along with the TV there are the massive sound systems and the huge clear picture of the TV. These sound systems and pictures make watching a show or even a movie more real. It is almost like you are in the movie experiencing every sound and movement. It is, in my experience, better than going to the movie theatres.
With DVD's everyone has access to movies and viewing them on their own TV at home, so why go outside and play when you can be inside watching movies all day. That brings me to the next piece of technology: the video games. These games have a way of holding a persons interest for a very long time. Sitting there, viewing the game on the TV screen and being a part of the game is fun. Some games even are capable of letting you talk to others playing the same game that live everywhere through out the world. Other technology that has given everyone more to do is iPods and digital cameras.
With digital cameras you can view exactly the picture you just took and also crap and edit them on your computer. The iPod is one of the best pieces of technology, I think. An iPod can hold tons of different songs on it and you can take it anywhere and just put headphones in your ear and listen to it. It is amazing at how much technology has changed over the years and the impact it has had on our society.
